I have finally decided to start using my blog again. I hope to post at least a couple times a week, whether I ramble about a new recipe, pinterest experiment gone good or bad, or a new scrapbook layout.

there has been an addition to our family since my last post: Elizabeth Anne was born April 11, 2012. She is now 13 months old, and her big sister Abby is 3 1/2. life is busy, loud, full of hugs and cuddles, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My entry for My Pink Stamper Imagine challenge

I made this layout for Robyn's challenge at mypinkstamper.com. The challenge was to use your Cricut Imagine and put some bling on your creation. I used the patterns and images from Best Friends cartridge and switched out the little girl's head that was on the diecut for the little bird. To put some bling on the layout i used Martha Stewart glue and fine glitter all over the bird (except for his eye and beak) and i added some Queen & Co rhinestones to the journaling. I also used a jeweled brad on the diecut.

And I used one of my favorite pics of my baby girl to finish off the layout. And there you have it, my first creation to use in one of Robyn's challenges. Oh, and this submission is also an entry to be a part of her design team!

Couple layouts I have recently done

Alright, I accidentally abandoned my blog for a few weeks - but I'll try to make up for it this week. Here are 2 layouts I completed last weekend.
The first is of myself and my sister-in-law (we are both expecting our first babies!) At the time of the pic I was 27 weeks, and Val was around 17. Of course we had to get a "barefoot & pregnant" pic in the kitchen! I used Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl papers for this layout, and the Cricut Jubilee cartridge for the title.
The 2nd layout is of my Mom & Stepdad on Memorial Day. I used Close to My Heart's Blue Ribbon paper and Whimsical Wings stamp set. Both layouts follow patterns from Close to My Heart's Reflections book.
(Email me if interested in purchasing any of the Close to My Heart products used).
